
FLEMING COUNTY, Ky. — A Fleming County man has been arrested following an early morning shooting investigation in which authorities say a vehicle was struck by gunfire, placing three people at risk.
According to the Fleming County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded during the early morning hours of Friday, July 11, 2026, to a report of shots fired on Elizaville Road.
During the investigation, deputies determined that a vehicle had been struck by a bullet. Authorities said the incident placed the vehicle's three occupants at risk of serious physical injury.
As a result of the investigation, Kurtis Godsey was arrested and charged with three counts of Wanton Endangerment, First Degree.
The investigation remains active and is being led by Deputy Dustin Cooper, with assistance from Sgt. Aaron Workman and Officer Hunter Hicks of the Flemingsburg Police Department.
