GRAYSON, Ky. — State investigators are continuing to examine the death of 19-year-old Marly Kinney and are asking anyone with information about the case to come forward.
According to the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, investigators are actively reviewing new information and following up on investigative leads in coordination with the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in Carter County.
Officials say they are withholding additional details about the investigation for now to protect its integrity. They emphasized that releasing certain information prematurely could interfere with the ongoing case.
Kinney was reported missing on June 24 after failing to return from an outing on Grayson Lake with a group of friends aboard a rented pontoon boat. Following an extensive five-day search involving multiple agencies and volunteers, her body was recovered from the lake on June 28.
Investigators are encouraging anyone who may have information—no matter how insignificant it may seem—to contact Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement through Kentucky State Police Post 14 at 606-928-6421. Authorities believe even small pieces of information could help establish facts or support other evidence as the investigation continues.
