Authorities are actively searching for two inmates who reportedly walked away from the Rowan County Detention Center on Friday evening, according to a public safety alert issued by the Morehead Police Department.
The individuals were identified as:
Michael Fogleman
29 years old
Approximately 6 feet tall
Around 188 pounds
Very short or closely shaved hair
Short beard along the jawline and chin
Medium to stocky build
James Smallwood
52 years old
Approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall
Around 215 pounds
Last reportedly seen wearing a white shirt, blue pants, and possibly a hat
Short, closely cropped hair
Gray facial hair around the mouth and chin
Medium to stocky build
According to the alert, multiple local law enforcement agencies are involved in the search effort, with Kentucky State Police leading the investigation.
Officials are urging residents to stay alert and avoid approaching anyone they believe may be suspicious or unfamiliar. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of either individual is asked to contact 911 immediately.
