MOREHEAD, Ky. — A new business is preparing to open its doors in Morehead, bringing a creative twist to family entertainment that will allow visitors to enjoy building LEGO creations without purchasing the sets themselves.

Brick City, a new venture announced by Derrick Kinder, is scheduled to open Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Pinecrest Plaza.

The business will offer more than 100 LEGO sets for customers to choose from, with rental prices ranging from $5 to $15. Sets will be available for different ages, interests, and skill levels, providing an activity that children and adults can enjoy individually or together.

The concept is simple: Visitors walk in, select a LEGO set, find a table, and start building. Once they finish, the staff handles the cleanup.

Kinder announced the upcoming opening on Facebook, explaining that the goal is to provide an affordable and enjoyable experience for families and friends.

"We aim to be an affordable and fun option for everyone," Kinder wrote.

Photographs shared by the business reveal an assortment of building sets, including popular LEGO collections featuring Disney characters, Star Wars creations, and decorative models such as the Bonsai Tree.

The rental concept offers an alternative to purchasing LEGO sets, which can sometimes be expensive, particularly for larger or more elaborate models. It also eliminates the need to find storage space for completed projects or keep track of hundreds of small pieces at home.

In addition to entertainment, LEGO building can encourage creativity, concentration, and problem-solving while giving families and friends an opportunity to spend time together.

Brick City first began teasing its collection on social media in early October before announcing its official opening date. The business has since been sharing photographs of its inventory and encouraging residents to help spread the word.

Additional information about the business is expected to be released through its Facebook page as opening day approaches.

With its November 1 debut approaching, Brick City will introduce a different kind of indoor recreational activity to Morehead's growing business community — one where the fun comes from putting things together, one brick at a time.

Residents can follow Brick City on Facebook for additional announcements and opening details.
