A Northern Kentucky elected official is facing felony charges following an investigation conducted by the Kentucky Attorney General's Office.

Attorney General Russell Coleman announced Thursday that a Campbell County Grand Jury has indicted Campbell County Property Valuation Administrator Daniel Braun, 52, on two counts of Procuring or Promoting the Use of a Minor by Electronic Means, a Class C felony under Kentucky law.
According to the indictment, Braun allegedly engaged in electronic communications on at least two occasions in March 2026 with an individual he believed to be under the age of 18. Authorities say the conversations were actually with an undercover detective from the Kentucky Attorney General's Department of Criminal Investigations.
The investigation was conducted by the Attorney General's Office, and the case was presented to the Campbell County Grand Jury by Assistant Attorney General Ramsey Dallam.
State officials have not released additional details about the allegations, citing rules governing pretrial publicity established by the Kentucky Supreme Court.
As with all criminal cases, the charges contained in the indictment are allegations. Braun is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
The case remains pending in Campbell County Circuit Court.
