Parents and guardians in Carter County should prepare for a significant change in how student enrollment is handled for the upcoming school year.

According to a recent announcement from Carter County Schools, the district will no longer offer online registration beginning with the 2026–2027 academic year. Instead, all enrollment will be completed using paper forms, with each individual school responsible for organizing its own registration events and procedures.

District officials say the change is the result of recent adjustments in legislative funding, which have impacted how enrollment systems are supported and maintained.

Under the new process, families will need to work directly with their child’s school to complete enrollment. Specific details—including dates, required documentation, and step-by-step instructions—will be shared by each school in the coming weeks. Parents are encouraged to watch for those announcements to ensure they don’t miss important deadlines.

While the enrollment process itself is shifting away from digital platforms, the district emphasized that its Parent Portal will remain active. Families will still be able to access student grades, attendance records, and household information through the system.

School officials expressed appreciation for the community’s patience during the transition and encouraged parents with questions to contact their child’s school directly.

The move marks a notable return to a more traditional enrollment process, and it may require families to plan ahead as schools coordinate in-person or paper-based registration efforts ahead of the new school year.

Your agents are missing a context engine

Your coding agents are fast. They’re also context-blind.

You see it in code that compiles but doesn't fit your system, long correction loops, and climbing token costs.

More MCPs, rules, or bigger context windows give agents access to information, not understanding. The teams pulling ahead use a context engine to give agents exactly what they need to generate mergeable code.
