Two Fleming County High School golfers are headed to the KHSAA State Golf Tournament after impressive performances on the course, and one is bringing home a tournament championship along the way.
According to Fleming County High School Athletics, Maddox Earlywine and Hunter Arrasmith both qualified for the KHSAA Class 2A State Golf Tournament, which will be held September 14 at Owensboro Country Club.
During regional competition on Sunday, July 26, Earlywine shot a 1-over-par 73, while Arrasmith carded a 3-over-par 75, securing their spots in the state championship field.
Earlywine also celebrated another milestone this week, claiming his first high school tournament victory at the 2026 GRC Cardinal Classic at Winchester Country Club.
The Fleming County standout fired a career-low, bogey-free 4-under-par 68 to win the tournament by two strokes in a competitive field of 98 golfers.
The performances cap off an outstanding week for the Panthers' golf program and give Fleming County two strong representatives as they prepare to compete against the state's best golfers in September.
