Residents of Mason County and the surrounding region will soon have another familiar dining option to choose from.
Local officials announced that Frisch’s Big Boy will return to Maysville later this summer, bringing the iconic restaurant brand back to Northeastern Kentucky. According to the announcement, the restaurant is expected to open on August 1 at the former Frisch’s location in Maysville.
The restaurant will be operated by the team behind the successful Frisch’s Big Boy West Union location in Ohio. Community leaders said the West Union operation is considered one of the strongest-performing locations within the Frisch’s chain, creating optimism for the restaurant’s return to Mason County.
Hiring Events Scheduled
Frisch’s is currently seeking employees ahead of the reopening. Open interviews will be held at the Maysville location on:
July 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
July 2 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Positions are expected to include servers, hosts, and other restaurant team members.
Individuals interested in applying before the interview dates may be able to obtain employment applications through the Kentucky Career Center – TENCO office in Maysville beginning later this week.
Economic Boost for the Area
Local leaders expressed appreciation to Frisch’s Restaurants, Tenco, and the operators of the West Union location for investing in Maysville and Mason County. The reopening is expected to create new jobs while restoring a well-known restaurant brand that has long been associated with the region.
The return of Frisch’s will once again give local residents access to the restaurant’s signature menu items, including its famous Big Boy sandwiches, breakfast offerings, and homestyle favorites.
With hiring underway and renovations progressing, community members can expect to see the new-and-improved Frisch’s Big Boy welcoming customers back through its doors later this summer.
