MOREHEAD, Ky. — Automobile enthusiasts, families, and members of the community are invited to celebrate a new tradition this fall as the 1st Annual Hudson Hornet Day comes to Morehead on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
The event will be held in the lot behind First Street in Morehead and will celebrate the history and legacy of the iconic Hudson Hornet, one of America's most famous classic automobiles. Organizers are planning a day filled with classic cars, live entertainment, community activities, and family-friendly attractions.
A featured attraction will be the 1st Annual Chrome, Crowns & Classics, a unique event combining vintage automobiles with pageantry under the theme "Where Cars Meet Crowns!" The pageant portion will be held at Morehead United Methodist Church.
The Hudson Hornet Pageant will include three divisions:
Youth Division: Ages 5–12
Teen Division: Ages 13–17
Adult Division: Ages 18+
Registration is open through September 15.
