MOREHEAD, KY — Local author Joe Clark recently made a generous contribution to the Morehead History and Railroad Museum, donating multiple copies of several of his books to help support the museum’s efforts in preserving local history.

The books available include:
Moonshine and Murder: The Killings of Deputies Absolom “App” Perry & Floyd Hyatt
Death In The Mountains: Funeral Customs and Deathways in Eastern Kentucky
Beyond The Railroad Tracks: The True Story of Ida Ho Mason
What Really Happened On Clack Mountain
“All proceeds from the sale of these books will go directly to the museum,” Clark said. “I’m passionate about supporting local history and giving back to the community, and this is one way I can help preserve our stories for future generations.”
The museum encourages visitors and history enthusiasts to stop by and pick up a copy, not only to explore local true crime and historical narratives but also to contribute to a cause that helps maintain and showcase Morehead’s rich heritage.
Clark added, “Visiting the museum and supporting their work is a great way for families and residents to connect with the past. Every purchase helps ensure that our community’s history is preserved and shared.”
The Morehead History and Railroad Museum is located at 130 East First Street in downtown Morehead and is open for tours and book purchases during regular hours.
