MOREHEAD, Ky. — Rising Eastern Kentucky country artist Tristan Moore has been selected as one of the Top Five finalists in the upcoming Mt. Sterling Talent Show, earning the opportunity to compete for the event's $500 grand prize.

The competition is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, at 1:00 p.m. and will take place at the Courthouse Square in downtown Mt. Sterling as part of the community's festivities.

Moore, who is originally from Olive Hill and has been steadily building his fan base across Eastern Kentucky, will perform alongside four other finalists in hopes of taking home the top honor.

Supporters from throughout the region are encouraged to attend the event and cheer on the local performer.

The Mt. Sterling Tourism Office notified Moore of his selection this week after finalists were chosen for the competition.
