SALT LICK, Ky. — Another restaurant has closed its doors in the Salt Lick community of Bath County.
Miller's Southern Cuisine & Catering at Debbie's Music Theater & Cafe announced on social media that it is permanently closing, thanking customers for their support while citing medical issues as the reason for the decision.
"With great sadness and regret we want to let our dear customers know that we are closing our doors due to medical issues," the restaurant wrote in its announcement. "I'm down in my back and have been having a lot of trouble with it. Unfortunately this (Saturday June 27, 2026) is our last day."
The owners expressed their appreciation to the community for supporting the business throughout its time in Salt Lick.
"We appreciate all our great customers who we have came to know and love," the statement continued. "We couldn't have had such great success if it wasn't for y'all. Couldn't have done it without y'all. Love y'all so much."
The closure marks the second restaurant to leave the location since 2025.
The site was previously home to The Salt Mine Cafe, which opened there in November 2024. After operating for nearly a year, the cafe relocated to Owingsville in October 2025, leaving the Salt Lick location available for a new business.
The latest closure leaves the future of the restaurant space uncertain once again.
The Morehead Minute wishes the owners of Miller's Southern Cuisine & Catering the very best and hopes for a full recovery from the medical issues that led to the difficult decision to close.
