
A Morehead man was booked into the Rowan County Detention Center on Wednesday, Aug. 6, on two domestic violence-related charges, according to jail records.
Robert Ray Mynhier, 49, of Morehead, was arrested by the Rowan County Sheriff's Office and booked into the detention center at approximately 9:35 a.m. on Aug. 6.
According to the Rowan County Detention Center, Mynhier is charged with:
Strangulation, First Degree (Domestic Violence Related)
Assault, Fourth Degree (Domestic Violence) – Minor Injury
Jail records indicate both charges remain open. As of the time of booking, no bond was listed.
The arrest record lists the alleged offense date and arrest date as Aug. 6, 2026. The case is expected to proceed through Rowan District Court.
