
MOREHEAD, Ky. — A Morehead man was arrested Thursday, August 14, 2026, and is facing multiple charges, including two serious domestic violence-related offenses.
According to information published by the Rowan County Detention Center, Steven Weaver, 31, of Morehead, was booked into the detention center at approximately 3:53 p.m. Thursday following his arrest by the Morehead Police Department.
Weaver is listed as facing the following charges:
Strangulation, First Degree (Domestic Violence Related)
Assault, Second Degree – Domestic Violence
Disorderly Conduct, Second Degree
Tampering With a Witness
Detention center records list the offense and arrest date for all four charges as August 14.
Weaver is being held for Circuit Court under case number 26-CR-71. The detention center lists a $10,000 cash bond in connection with the case.
