MOREHEAD, Ky. — A Morehead man was booked into the Rowan County Detention Center early Wednesday morning on several charges, including domestic violence assault, fleeing or evading police and resisting arrest.
According to information published by the Rowan County Detention Center, Paul Day, 40, of Morehead, was booked into the facility at approximately 3:58 a.m. on August 19, 2026, following an arrest by the Morehead Police Department.
Detention center records list the following charges:
Assault, 4th Degree — Domestic Violence, No Visible Injury
Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (On Foot)
Resisting Arrest
Public Intoxication — Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
Operating on a Suspended/Revoked Operator's License
Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance/Security, 1st Offense
