The Morehead Utility Plant Board (MUPB) is seeking applicants for a Utility Maintenance Worker I position.
According to MUPB, the role involves helping operate, maintain, repair, and construct systems related to water, wastewater, natural gas, and storm water services throughout the community.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Water line repairs and maintenance
Sewer collection system maintenance
Natural gas system construction and repairs
Storm water infrastructure maintenance
Equipment operation and general labor duties
Emergency response and on-call work as needed
Maintaining a safe work environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid driver's license required
Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions
Ability to obtain required certifications and licenses
Experience in utility construction, maintenance, or related fields is preferred but not required

Mastronardi Produce is currently hiring a Hilo Driver (Forklift Operator) for its Morehead facility.
The full-time position works in the shipping department from 12:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and focuses on moving inventory throughout the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining accurate product tracking.
Primary Duties Include:
Operating forklifts to move products within the warehouse and trailers
Loading and unloading shipments
Managing inventory movement and storage
Using barcode scanners and inventory systems
Completing paperwork and product tracking documentation
Conducting equipment inspections
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Reporting product quality or safety concerns
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Related work experience
Valid driver's license or state-issued ID
Recent eye exam within the past year
Basic math and counting skills
Attention to detail and strong communication abilities
Working Conditions:
Refrigerated warehouse environment
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, stacking, reaching, and other physical activities
