MOREHEAD, Ky. — The Morehead Police Department is celebrating the successful completion of state law enforcement training by one of its newest officers.

According to a recent announcement from the department, Patrolman Mark Campbell has graduated from the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT) Academy as part of Class 569.

The graduation marks the completion of months of intensive training designed to prepare officers for service in communities across the Commonwealth. The academy curriculum includes instruction in criminal law, patrol procedures, defensive tactics, emergency vehicle operations, firearms proficiency, and other essential law enforcement skills.

In a statement, the Morehead Police Department praised Campbell's dedication and commitment throughout the training process and expressed enthusiasm about his return to active duty in Morehead.

“This accomplishment represents months of dedication, discipline, and commitment to serving our community,” the department stated. “We are proud to have Patrolman Campbell back as part of the MPD team and look forward to the continued impact he will make in keeping Morehead safe.”

Department officials also encouraged community members to join them in congratulating Campbell on reaching the milestone.
