A Morehead woman has been arrested on animal cruelty-related charges, according to records from the Rowan County Detention Center.
Courtney Barnett, 29, was taken into custody on April 27, 2026, at approximately 12:09 p.m.
According to the detention center, the charges include:
• Torture of a dog or cat
• Cruelty to animals – 2nd degree
At this time, no additional details have been released regarding the circumstances surrounding the arrest.
