Morehead, KY — Families in Rowan County now have a brand-new place to gather, play, and enjoy the outdoors. A new playground has officially opened at Rodburn Hollow Park, located within the Daniel Boone National Forest, thanks to the efforts of the Morehead Parks and Recreation Department.

The park is open daily from 6:00 a.m. until dark and offers a variety of amenities designed for visitors of all ages. Features include scenic walking trails, two picnic shelters available for rent, grills, and restroom facilities.

One unique addition is a Storybook Walk, sponsored by the Rowan County Public Library, which encourages children and families to combine reading with outdoor activity.

The newly installed playground is built with safety and fun in mind. It includes four slides, climbing structures, and an infant swing, all set on a soft, crumb-rubber surface designed to help prevent injuries.

Community members are encouraged to visit Rodburn Hollow Park and take advantage of this new recreational space.
