OLIVE HILL, Ky. — Johnny Lambert, a longtime Olive Hill businessman, U.S. Army veteran, and owner of Lambert Monument Company and Olive Hill Memorial Park, has died. He was 76.
Lambert passed away Saturday, July 18, at UK St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead with family by his side.
A native of Elliott County, Lambert was widely known throughout northeastern Kentucky for his decades of service to families through the memorial industry. As the owner and operator of Lambert Monument Company and Olive Hill Memorial Park, he spent more than 40 years helping families create lasting tributes to loved ones.
His work made him a familiar face to generations of residents across Carter, Elliott, Rowan and surrounding counties, where he earned a reputation for dedication and professionalism.
Before entering business, Lambert proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was also a member of Three Pine Free Will Baptist Church.
According to his obituary, Lambert enjoyed working and valued the relationships he built over the years while serving the community. His commitment to his business and the families he assisted left a lasting impact throughout the region.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with burial to follow at Olive Hill Memorial Park.
Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday until the service begins.
