MOREHEAD, Ky. — Kentucky State Representative Richard White has received an endorsement from Kentucky Citizens Against Domestic Violence and Pet Abuse, an advocacy organization focused on legislation addressing domestic violence and animal abuse.
The organization announced its endorsement of White, saying it was recognizing him for his “continued commitment and support of legislation that the group promotes to better the lives of our most vulnerable citizens and pets.”
White, a Republican, currently represents Kentucky House District 99, which includes Rowan, Morgan and Elliott counties, according to the Kentucky General Assembly.
The endorsement comes as White seeks another term representing the district. He is running in the November 3, 2026 general election against Democratic candidate Iva Markicevic Daley. Both candidates were unopposed in their respective May primaries.
Kentucky Citizens Against Domestic Violence and Pet Abuse has advocated for legislation recognizing the connection between animal cruelty and interpersonal violence, including domestic abuse. The organization has previously presented those concerns to Kentucky lawmakers.
The endorsement announcement specifically cited White's support for legislation promoted by the organization but did not identify individual bills in the material reviewed by The Morehead Minute.
