MOREHEAD, Ky. — Rowan County Fiscal Court is recognizing County Road Foreman Steve Kelsey as he prepares to retire at the end of August following years of dedicated service to the county.
Kelsey has served as Rowan County's Road Foreman for the past eight years and has spent many years working for the county overall. During his tenure, he has overseen the maintenance and improvement of county roads while working closely with residents throughout Rowan County.
In a statement, Rowan County Fiscal Court praised Kelsey for his commitment to public service, noting that many county residents became familiar with him through his willingness to answer calls and address road concerns. Officials credited him with serving the public with dignity, respect, and courtesy while consistently finding solutions to difficult challenges.
Beyond his work, Fiscal Court members also highlighted Kelsey's sense of humor and friendship, saying he will be greatly missed by both county employees and the community.
As he prepares to begin retirement, Rowan County Fiscal Court extended its congratulations and best wishes to Kelsey, thanking him for his years of service and wishing him success and happiness in the next chapter of his life.
