MOREHEAD, KY — It’s been a standout week at Rowan County Senior High School, as students were recognized across academics, the arts, and school traditions—highlighting both achievement and community pride.
One of the biggest highlights came during the school’s recent Passion Project Exhibition, where 11th grade students presented projects they had spent weeks developing. The exhibition showcased a wide range of interests—from scientific innovation and environmental topics to personal passions and future career goals.
Students demonstrated not only their knowledge, but also strong communication skills, confidently engaging with visitors and presenting their work in a professional manner. More than 80 community members attended the event, underscoring the strong connection between the school and the broader Rowan County community.

Adding to the excitement, Rowan County Senior High has also announced its 2026 Prom Court candidates, with students nominated for King and Queen honors.

Prom is scheduled for May 2, 2026, at the Morehead Conference Center, with the King and Queen to be announced during the event.
