Pickleball players in Morehead now have another place to hit the court for the season.
According to the Morehead, Kentucky City Government, the seasonal pickleball court located beside the historic Moonlight School on First Street is now officially open and ready for play.
City officials reminded players that they must bring their own equipment when using the court.
The announcement also noted that additional tennis and pickleball courts remain available year-round at Morehead City Park for those looking for more opportunities to get outside and stay active.
Pickleball has continued to grow in popularity across Kentucky and throughout the country, drawing players of all ages with its mix of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong style gameplay.
The seasonal downtown court offers a unique setting near one of Morehead’s historic landmarks and provides another recreational option for local residents and visitors alike.
City officials encouraged residents to “grab your paddles and enjoy.”
