MOREHEAD, KY — Families looking for a way to cool off this summer will soon have a local option once again as the Sheltowee Falls Splash Pad officially opens for the 2026 season on Saturday, May 23 at 10 a.m.
According to the City of Morehead, the splash pad will begin the season with modified operating hours through June 2.
From May 23 through June 2, the schedule will be:
Monday through Friday: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Beginning June 3, the splash pad will transition to its regular daily summer schedule and will operate from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day.
City officials also noted that all rental reservations at the facility will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The Sheltowee Falls Splash Pad has become a popular summertime destination for local families and visitors, offering children a fun and safe place to cool off during the warmer months.
Residents are encouraged to watch the City of Morehead’s official channels for any future updates regarding weather closures or special events throughout the season.
