
Emergency responders were called to the Ramey-Estep Homes campus Saturday evening after reports of a large fight involving multiple individuals and improvised weapons.
According to scanner traffic reported by Tri-State Scanner Network, the incident was initially dispatched at approximately 5:52 p.m. as a fight in progress. The caller reportedly described the situation as a "riot," advising that multiple people were involved and that bottled water and fire extinguishers were being used as weapons.
By 6:10 p.m., units on scene reported that three individuals had been detained in connection with the disturbance.
A short time later, at 6:15 p.m., responding units advised that the situation was under control, and additional responding personnel were told they could disregard the call.
At this time, it is unclear whether any injuries occurred or whether criminal charges will be filed. The identities and ages of those detained have not been released.
