Eastern Kentucky — May 17, 2026 — Law enforcement agencies in Eastern Kentucky have made two arrests related to sex crimes. Both cases are currently open and pending court proceedings.

Zachary Mayse, 44, of Sandy Hook, was arrested by the Elliott County Sheriff’s Department. Mayse faces a charge of Possession/View Matter Portraying Sexual Performance by a Minor. He is currently held at the Rowan County Detention Center without bond. Mayse is described as 5’11”, 210 lbs, with blue eyes and partially grey hair. His case has been classified as a Circuit Court matter.

Larry Hamilton, 39, of Clearfield, was arrested by the Kentucky State Police. He faces two charges: Sexual Abuse in the First Degree and Unlawful Transaction with a Minor – Second Degree. Hamilton is being held without bond at the Rowan County Detention Center. He is described as 5’6”, 295 lbs, with hazel eyes and black hair. His case is currently classified as a District Court matter.

Both arrests reflect ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to investigate and prosecute crimes against minors. Court dates for both individuals are forthcoming, and authorities are urging anyone with additional information relevant to these cases to come forward.
