Authorities have now officially released the name of the missing individual in the ongoing search at Grayson Lake as 19-year-old Marly Kinney of Ashland.

According to the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, Kinney was last seen at Grayson Lake on Wednesday afternoon. Search efforts remain focused primarily on the water and continue to involve a coordinated response from multiple agencies.

Crews are utilizing a wide range of resources, including boats, drones, sonar equipment, K-9 teams, underwater drones, and aerial assistance from the Kentucky State Police. Officials say intermittent rain has created additional challenges for search crews.

In addition to emergency responders, approximately 50 volunteers have been assisting by searching the shoreline around the lake.

Authorities continue to ask anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation to contact 911 immediately.

The Morehead Minute would like to thank our readers for their patience and understanding while we waited for law enforcement to officially confirm the identity of the missing individual.
