Organizers of the upcoming “Happy 250th America” Haldeman Brickyard Fireworks celebration are asking the community for help as preparations continue for the July 4th event in Rowan County.
According to a public post from The Haldeman Museum, several important parts of the event have already been secured — including the fireworks display and lighting — but additional volunteers are still needed to help make the evening successful.
Organizers say they are currently seeking volunteers to assist with:
Cooking hotdogs
Handing out food, chips, and water
Ensuring children receive pinwheels
Helping attendees find what they need
Assisting with crowd safety and event monitoring
Helping create a safe, family-friendly atmosphere for everyone attending
The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Haldeman Brickyard, located at 4500 Open Fork Road in Morehead.
Organizers emphasized that the event is intended to be a safe and enjoyable celebration for the entire community and said additional volunteers would greatly help ease the workload.
Anyone interested in volunteering can contact organizers directly by private message through Facebook or by calling 606-780-4043.
