
A 24-year-old West Liberty man is facing several serious felony charges following his arrest on June 10, according to records from the Rowan County Detention Center.
Zachary M. Gamble, 24, of West Liberty, was booked into the Rowan County Detention Center at approximately 11:08 a.m. Wednesday. Jail records indicate he was arrested by the West Liberty Police Department and is currently being held as a District Court inmate.
According to detention center records, Gamble has been charged with:
Rape, First Degree
Sodomy, First Degree
Unlawful Transaction with a Minor, Third Degree
Intimidating a Participant in the Legal Process
The charges are listed under case number WL26-01696 and remain open. Records indicate the alleged offenses occurred on June 9, with Gamble being arrested the following day.
As of publication, no bond amount had been listed in the detention center records, and no court date was available.
First-degree rape and first-degree sodomy are among Kentucky's most serious felony offenses and can carry substantial prison sentences if a defendant is convicted. The additional charges involving a minor and intimidation of a participant in the legal process may also carry significant penalties.
