A Morgan County woman has died following a two-vehicle collision that occurred Friday afternoon near the West Liberty Veterinary Clinic.

According to Kentucky State Police, the crash happened shortly before 3 p.m. on U.S. 460 West near Veterinarian Lane. Investigators say a rollback tow truck was traveling westbound when it approached a vehicle that had slowed to make a turn onto Veterinarian Lane.

As the rollback moved into the passing lane, a Chevrolet Equinox driven by 66-year-old Linda Sue Bush of West Liberty was reportedly entering the highway from Veterinarian Lane. The two vehicles collided in the roadway.

Bush was initially transported to ARH Hospital in West Liberty for treatment. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was later airlifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital in West Virginia, where she subsequently passed away.

Emergency responders from Morgan County EMS, the West Liberty Fire Department, and the Morgan County Rescue Squad assisted at the scene.

Kentucky State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. Trooper Jordan Barnett is leading the investigation.

The Morehead Minute extends its condolences to the family and friends of Linda Sue Bush during this difficult time.
